I'm not the only librarian out there...

...who loves fantasy football. And perhaps more importantly, my fellow librarian-also-blogger understands why I think my research/library background aids in unearthing helpful fantasy football info. For those interested in the deep, dark librarian-ish details, check out the Research Quest blog that declared fantasy sports the national sport of librarians. Yes, a national sport for librarians. For those wanting more fantasy football info and less library talk, don't worry, I've got you covered.
1. Rotoworld's Evan Silva gives valuable QB drafting advice, particularly for those of you who end up not taking a top QB...Evan's advice? Hold out and pair up some later round QBs as your strategy for winning. Interesting stuff in Targeting Mid-Round QBs.

My wife is a librarian and I thought about telling her about your blog...but the fantasy football world is mine and I don't know what I would do if Fantasy Football Lee and Married Lee's worlds collided. Selfish...I know.

Very amusing, Lee. And I'm intrigued. How do you keep your worlds from colliding every Sunday during the fall? I turn into such a stats monger, NFL news fiend, and complete fantasy football nut in the fall that there is really no separating it from the rest of me. Yes, it's sad. I applaud you for having some separation from FF! Fortunately my husband also plays FF and gets this - while he doesn't jump out of bed on Sunday mornings to run to the computer/tv like me, he isn't staring at me with a look of total confusion and amazement like my mom and sister do.

Hi Paul - Enjoy perusing the site and I'd love to hear of any favorite places you have for getting your FF research done. I am definitely reaching my saturation point for FF leagues, but I am still interested in joining up with a bunch of librarians. How about this - if you need someone to balance off the league numbers, let me know, otherwise I'll just hope for updates on which librarian is dominating every once in awhile. How does that sound?

Happy long weekend! Here's hoping most of you are free to enjoy the 3-day weekend and the relaxation and fun that comes with it. I spent my Sunday participating in 3 fantasy football drafts scattered throughout the day and night, but I think I've finally wrapped up my drafts for the year. So like many of you I'm now turning my attention to the Week 1 games! A hiatus

Update:  It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that yesterday, August 30th, I delivered our stillborn daughter, Caroline Mary. This has been an almost surreal and definitely heartbreaking experience and I appreciate the support in each and every one of your notes. Caroline will be honored and loved always. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your thoughts and prayers - they mean the world to our family. I have been a very poor blogger this month and feel I owe you all an explanation, particularly as this is crunch time for draft prep. I hope this is not too personal of a look into my life since I know most of you are just here for the football. I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant and we have learned that our baby (a little girl!) has triploidy, a chromosomal abnormality that means she has three copies of every chromosome instead of the normal two. The doctors have explained that it's a completely random occurrence and fairly rare that she has made it this far along, but tha
