Bruno Boys Draft Magazine!

So I'm particularly psyched to announce that the Bruno Boys' Draft Magazine is up and available for review as of today - go check it out! The Bruno Boys continuously put together great content for fantasy footballers and I'm pleased to be joining them a bit this season. I have an o-line update in their draft magazine but I'll also be doing a weekly column every Tuesday on their site, which I believe they're calling A Librarian's Touch. It will be a little different than what I do on this blog since I'm usually just sending you out to a bunch of different fantasy sites here - on their site I'll actually be giving you my thoughts and opinions. Hmm, we'll see how that pans out...I think my first column will likely be next Tuesday, so stay tuned!

In other news, I am heading out tomorrow for Columbus, Ohio, to be a part of my friends Beth and Bart's wedding. If you've paid attention to my college football rants in the past, you may know that I am um, not an Ohio State fan. Sorry Buckeyes but everyone's gotta have a nemesis. So it should be interesting to be in Columbus, surrounded by OSU fans - scarlet and gray everywhere. Since I'm actually in the wedding I'll have to maintain some degree of decorum and therefore will likely not be arrested for peeing on the stadium. But you never know...

A few more football links for today follow:
  • The Huddle's 2008 Ultimate RBBC Review - if the Huddle posts something, you should probably read it. They're that good. And who doesn't want info on which of their RBs will be part of the dreaded running back by committee (RBBC) approach?
  • My doorbell rang over the weekend and the postman was standing there with a package for me from Amazon - he must've hand delivered the package because he knew what fantastic material was inside: the Football Outsiders' 2008 Pro Football Prospectus. I love this thing and if there is one actual print resource you might want to pick up before you draft, I highly recommend this book.

Labor Day FF links

Happy long weekend! Here's hoping most of you are free to enjoy the 3-day weekend and the relaxation and fun that comes with it. I spent my Sunday participating in 3 fantasy football drafts scattered throughout the day and night, but I think I've finally wrapped up my drafts for the year. So like many of you I'm now turning my attention to the Week 1 games! But before we get to some player rankings and prep for Week 1, I want to make sure that all you experts out there are aware of the upcoming deadline for the annual accuracy contest that I run with the Fantasy Sports Trade Association. I compare preseason positional rankings from experts to the final outcome of the fantasy season to see which site had the most accurate preseason rankings, and this year's deadline is fast approaching: September 9th by kickoff. Check out the info on the FSTA site for more details and be sure to e-mail me your submissions. Now, onto Week 1! First up, let's get to some of this...

2010 Week 2 consensus start/sit

Greetings and happy weekend. I've got this week's consensus start/sit for you which is a tally of all the start/sit votes that players received in the various start/sit articles that I linked to earlier in the week. So while these aren't my personal recommendations, I do think knowing what the consensus is could be of help when making lineup decisions...so enjoy! QB Start: Michael Vick, Kyle Orton, Matt Ryan, Jason Campbell Sit: David Garrard, Alex Smith, Jay Cutler, Vince Young, Carson Palmer RB Start: LeSean McCoy, Darren McFadden, Ahmad Bradshaw, Brandon Jackson Sit: Tim Hightower, C.J. A hiatus

Update:  It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that yesterday, August 30th, I delivered our stillborn daughter, Caroline Mary. This has been an almost surreal and definitely heartbreaking experience and I appreciate the support in each and every one of your notes. Caroline will be honored and loved always. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your thoughts and prayers - they mean the world to our family. I have been a very poor blogger this month and feel I owe you all an explanation, particularly as this is crunch time for draft prep. I hope this is not too personal of a look into my life since I know most of you are just here for the football. I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant and we have learned that our baby (a little girl!) has triploidy, a chromosomal abnormality that means she has three copies of every chromosome instead of the normal two. The doctors have explained that it's a completely random occurrence and fairly rare that she has made it this far along, but tha...
