I like your Blog, It's full of useful info, I typically look at Fantasy Sharks and many of the others you list, but I also like Fantasy Cafe......just to get a grasp of what regular folks feel on start/sit issues and injuries, some of these people are actually in those NFL cities and have a inside track to whats going on before Rotoworld does.....keep up the good work!!!

Quick question.. I just made a trade and I gave Portis and Rodgers for Steven jackson, Santana Moss, and Maurice Jones Drew... Did i win or lose this one??

Depends on your roster tbh. I really don't like SJ in any case...

I wouldn't have made the trade unless i was REALLY hurting at wr

wow, sit owens and moss ... you think anyone would've predicted that CONSENSUS sit at the beginning of the year...?

Potlicker, I was going to say the exact same thing! What's terrible for me is that I have to start 3 WR, and I have both Owens and Moss!

who do you guys like in place of Owens, whom I will be sitting tomarrow, Breaston or Curtis??? Help!!!
Thanks for the reminder about Fantasy Cafe, anon. I haven't remembered to check them out very often this year so thanks for the reminder.

Other anon - I really like Portis so I'm probably a little biased on this but I think we'd really need to know the rest of your team before knowing if this was a good or bad deal for you, like bobbert said.

Third anon - I think I actually still like Owens the best here but followed closely by Breaston. So if you're done with trying to get points out of Owens (like squeezing water from a rock these days), then take a try on Breaston this week. Then again the Seattle secondary certainly does make me think Curtis could be a decent start...

couple things i've learned about FF dosen't always hold true, but most of the time... 1. always play the big name.
i get cautious when thinking about sitting an owens or moss... you just hate to have those guys on your bench because you just NEVER know!
2. bad DEF are great for you RB and bad for your WR. great def are bad for you RB and good for your WR
if it's a bad def you just run the ball all day if it's a good one you have to open u the passing game. now if the team just sucks they don't score on a good D but that would be an interesting stat compilation FFL... when did RB's and WR's have their most points against which types of D. see if my theory holds true!

Labor Day FF links

Happy long weekend! Here's hoping most of you are free to enjoy the 3-day weekend and the relaxation and fun that comes with it. I spent my Sunday participating in 3 fantasy football drafts scattered throughout the day and night, but I think I've finally wrapped up my drafts for the year. So like many of you I'm now turning my attention to the Week 1 games! But before we get to some player rankings and prep for Week 1, I want to make sure that all you experts out there are aware of the upcoming deadline for the annual accuracy contest that I run with the Fantasy Sports Trade Association. I compare preseason positional rankings from experts to the final outcome of the fantasy season to see which site had the most accurate preseason rankings, and this year's deadline is fast approaching: September 9th by kickoff. Check out the info on the FSTA site for more details and be sure to e-mail me your submissions. Now, onto Week 1! First up, let's get to some of this...

A hiatus

Update:  It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that yesterday, August 30th, I delivered our stillborn daughter, Caroline Mary. This has been an almost surreal and definitely heartbreaking experience and I appreciate the support in each and every one of your notes. Caroline will be honored and loved always. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your thoughts and prayers - they mean the world to our family. I have been a very poor blogger this month and feel I owe you all an explanation, particularly as this is crunch time for draft prep. I hope this is not too personal of a look into my life since I know most of you are just here for the football. I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant and we have learned that our baby (a little girl!) has triploidy, a chromosomal abnormality that means she has three copies of every chromosome instead of the normal two. The doctors have explained that it's a completely random occurrence and fairly rare that she has made it this far along, but tha...
