Start or sit thoughts for Halloween

Happy Halloween, fantasy tricksters. I can't remember the last Halloween that was as warm and sunny as it is in Colorado today - it will be almost 80 today. Weather insanity. And it will still be really pleasant on Sunday when I head to Invesco Field to see the Broncos play the Dolphins. Can't wait.

So here's the start or sit listing for today - I'll be back later this afternoon with my weekly consensus of all the start or sit lists I've linked to, so check back later today for more.

Who knew the WSJ was into Fantasy Football? I certainly didn't, and I've been subscribing since 2002!

Cool blog. If you haven't thought about it before, online sports gambling takes librarianship and football to a whole new level. Although you're probably not in position to comment on illegal activities, you should look at sportsbook.com. It's sweet for all major sports including college and pro football.

Thanks for the gambling thoughts, Librarian in the Shadows. You're right, I'd rather not connect myself with gambling too much here but my husband does spend far too long on centsports.com - a site that some of you low budget types might enjoy.

Thanks for the link, rushi. I know I'm starting a handful of "sits" - but keep in mind that sometimes a classic "sit" suggestion surprises everyone and has a decent game. The unexpected is what keeps fantasy football so interesting, no?

Happy long weekend! Here's hoping most of you are free to enjoy the 3-day weekend and the relaxation and fun that comes with it. I spent my Sunday participating in 3 fantasy football drafts scattered throughout the day and night, but I think I've finally wrapped up my drafts for the year. A hiatus

Update:  It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that yesterday, August 30th, I delivered our stillborn daughter, Caroline Mary. This has been an almost surreal and definitely heartbreaking experience and I appreciate the support in each and every one of your notes. Caroline will be honored and loved always. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your thoughts and prayers - they mean the world to our family. I have been a very poor blogger this month and feel I owe you all an explanation, particularly as this is crunch time for draft prep. I hope this is not too personal of a look into my life since I know most of you are just here for the football. I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant and we have learned that our baby (a little girl!) has triploidy, a chromosomal abnormality that means she has three copies of every chromosome instead of the normal two.
