Starting, Sitting...in the sun

I don't mean to harp on this, but could a city be any more humid than Ft. Lauderdale is right now? No complaints, I'm digging it, but WOW. Now I need to be brief here since I have a date with my grandmother in just an hour or so...and a date with the shower since I still haven't managed to make it out of my pajamas yet (man, I love vacations!). So onto starts and sits:
I'll try to get a consensus up as well as some IDP links later today, but could be a little tricky today. I'll do what I can! But if you need more links, check out my daily blog with FantasyPlayers.com and my weekly column with the NY Times, First-Class Fantasy Football Links.

Which two would you start: Addai, Earnest Graham, or Slaton?

What Type of value do you think Westbrook should get in a 12 team, 2 player keeper league?

To answer your question, yes.

I live in New Olreans and we are usually more humid than most of Florida.

Fantasy Football Librarian,

Currently I am currently in a bind when it comes to receivers, I need to start 3 out of my possible 5 this week.

This is in a PPR, 10yrd per Point, 12point TD league so it does help to have a score or two. The receivers that I have this week include

Braylon Edwards <--Bounce back week?
Wes Welker <-- Great in PPR but lacks TDs
Kevin Walter <-- Could be an option if Johnson keeps getting double coverage
Marques Colston <-- Should be back this week, could be slightly rusty but a thumb issue isn't as bad as many other injuries
Patrick Crayton <-- Fourth (or fifth) option in this Offense

So, who would be your picks for this week?
Okay, starts and sits...

Anon #1 - I would start Graham and Slaton, I think.

Anon #2 - Westbrook will be back after the bye and I'm guessing he'll be a low-end #1/high-end #2 for the rest of the season at that point.

Next anon - Gore, Graham and Slaton

Next anon - Barber and Gore; haven't seen that site before, thanks. Will go check it out!

Last anon - I'd go with Welker, Walter and Colston; I think Colston is probably just as risky as Edwards and Crayton this week and why not go with the guy on his come back week?

Labor Day FF links

Happy long weekend! Here's hoping most of you are free to enjoy the 3-day weekend and the relaxation and fun that comes with it. I spent my Sunday participating in 3 fantasy football drafts scattered throughout the day and night, but I think I've finally wrapped up my drafts for the year. So like many of you I'm now turning my attention to the Week 1 games! But before we get to some player rankings and prep for Week 1, I want to make sure that all you experts out there are aware of the upcoming deadline for the annual accuracy contest that I run with the Fantasy Sports Trade Association. I compare preseason positional rankings from experts to the final outcome of the fantasy season to see which site had the most accurate preseason rankings, and this year's deadline is fast approaching: September 9th by kickoff. Check out the info on the FSTA site for more details and be sure to e-mail me your submissions. Now, onto Week 1! First up, let's get to some of this...

2010 Week 2 consensus start/sit

Greetings and happy weekend. I've got this week's consensus start/sit for you which is a tally of all the start/sit votes that players received in the various start/sit articles that I linked to earlier in the week. So while these aren't my personal recommendations, I do think knowing what the consensus is could be of help when making lineup decisions...so enjoy! Note: the players are listed in no particular order. QB Start: Michael Vick, Kyle Orton, Matt Ryan, Jason Campbell Sit: David Garrard, Alex Smith, Jay Cutler, Vince Young, Carson Palmer RB Start: LeSean McCoy, Darren McFadden, Ahmad Bradshaw, Brandon Jackson Sit: Tim Hightower, C.J. A hiatus

Update:  It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that yesterday, August 30th, I delivered our stillborn daughter, Caroline Mary. This has been an almost surreal and definitely heartbreaking experience and I appreciate the support in each and every one of your notes. Caroline will be honored and loved always. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your thoughts and prayers - they mean the world to our family. I have been a very poor blogger this month and feel I owe you all an explanation, particularly as this is crunch time for draft prep. I hope this is not too personal of a look into my life since I know most of you are just here for the football. I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant and we have learned that our baby (a little girl!) has triploidy, a chromosomal abnormality that means she has three copies of every chromosome instead of the normal two. The doctors have explained that it's a completely random occurrence and fairly rare that she has made it this far along, but tha...
