Week 11 Links and a bowling groove

Well I performed moderately well at bowling tonight - certainly didn't knock any one's socks off and an old man even kind of made fun of me at one point (though he also high-fived me on multiple occasions), but I feel like I've got my bowling groove back a bit. Should I have called this post "How the FFL got her groove back?"

As I mentioned earlier today, I probably won't get a chance to blog tomorrow so here are a few more articles to help you through the FFL Thursday drought.

so t. jones plays tonight... do i start him or c. johnson vs the jags?

so perplexing the pats seem a little weaker in the D than normal... but do i really believe that a jets running back does well vrs the pats at home...? i don't know if i can pull the trigger, but i hate to miss out on another 3 TD game you know?
I'd go with Johnson, I think. Like the matchup better even though the Jags run D is a tough one, too.

By the way, turns out sitting on the tarmac with a delayed flight is a great time to answer FF questions...I'm off to answer more!

nice... headed somewhere warm or back home? i think i agree with johnson, you just never know what bill upchuck (as my wife would say, she's like p. manning a lot)will do. plus they're at home and i think favre will be the one to shine (if any)not jones...

As we hit late fall/early winter, weather impacts who to start and who to sit.

For example, with a 70% chance of rain tonight, should I sit or start Cotchery?

So, if anyone knows of any links that look at the interaction of weather/fantasy football on a weekly basis, I'd sure appreciate the info.

Peace,

Fantasy Football Cafe has way too many pop-ups.

Do everyone a favor and kick them to the curb!

I second thedewd's request. I'm debating about whether to play R. Moss in tonight's weather or Santonio Holmes instead. If it weren't for the weather, there'd be no question....

I can start 3 rb's. Who would you start J. Addai ( vs houston) M. Turner ( vs Denver ) J. Stewart (vs detriot) or Ricky Williams (vs oakland) Thanks
I will definitely scope out some weather articles for you guys - I know I've seen one recently nut can't remember where off the top of my head...

And thanks for the FF Cafe pop ups feedback - I'll probably still link to them a few more times but maybe with a pop ups warning or something. :)

As for RBs I'd go with addai, turner and Williams. Good luck!

Labor Day FF links

Happy long weekend! Here's hoping most of you are free to enjoy the 3-day weekend and the relaxation and fun that comes with it. I spent my Sunday participating in 3 fantasy football drafts scattered throughout the day and night, but I think I've finally wrapped up my drafts for the year. So like many of you I'm now turning my attention to the Week 1 games! But before we get to some player rankings and prep for Week 1, I want to make sure that all you experts out there are aware of the upcoming deadline for the annual accuracy contest that I run with the Fantasy Sports Trade Association. I compare preseason positional rankings from experts to the final outcome of the fantasy season to see which site had the most accurate preseason rankings, and this year's deadline is fast approaching: September 9th by kickoff. Check out the info on the FSTA site for more details and be sure to e-mail me your submissions. Now, onto Week 1! First up, let's get to some of this

2010 Week 2 consensus start/sit

Greetings and happy weekend. I've got this week's consensus start/sit for you which is a tally of all the start/sit votes that players received in the various start/sit articles that I linked to earlier in the week. So while these aren't my personal recommendations, I do think knowing what the consensus is could be of help when making lineup decisions...so enjoy! Note: the players are listed in no particular order. QB Start: Michael Vick, Kyle Orton, Matt Ryan, Jason Campbell Sit: David Garrard, Alex Smith, Jay Cutler, Vince Young, Carson Palmer RB Start: LeSean McCoy, Darren McFadden, Ahmad Bradshaw, Brandon Jackson Sit: Tim Hightower, C.J. A hiatus

Update:  It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that yesterday, August 30th, I delivered our stillborn daughter, Caroline Mary. This has been an almost surreal and definitely heartbreaking experience and I appreciate the support in each and every one of your notes. Caroline will be honored and loved always. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your thoughts and prayers - they mean the world to our family. I have been a very poor blogger this month and feel I owe you all an explanation, particularly as this is crunch time for draft prep. I hope this is not too personal of a look into my life since I know most of you are just here for the football. I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant and we have learned that our baby (a little girl!) has triploidy, a chromosomal abnormality that means she has three copies of every chromosome instead of the normal two. The doctors have explained that it's a completely random occurrence and fairly rare that she has made it this far along, but tha
