NFL playoff rankings and cheat sheets

Happy New Year's Eve! I hope you all have some fun plans for tonight whether fun be hanging out with family and friends at home or out and about. I'm not usually big on going on out for a crazy NYE (it's safe to say my mom probably parties harder than I do most years) but tonight I think I'm going dancing. I love to dance, everyone in my family loves to dance, as evidenced by our dance floor activity at my sister's recent wedding...but my husband, not so much. Fortunately where there's dancing, there's beer so I think that should keep us both happy.
  • Rankings for the playoffs are everywhere! FFXtreme has ranked all the key players for this year's playoffs by position in Fantasy Football Playoff Rankings.
  • I love the game previews that AccuScore provides and this week is no exception. Take a look at their thoughts for each matchup:
  • Wondering about the team it would've taken to be the most awesome team in fantasy football this year? Scope out the Fantasy Football Champs' 2008 All-Fantasy Team. If anyone had this exact team, I would love to hear about it.
  • No-Offseason.com has your Top Fantasy Options for NFL Playoffs - as noted here, I am loving Dallas Clark as a playoffs TE; great matchup against a Chargers D that's weak on TEs this weekend in particular.
  • I'm intrigued by the new 2010 plan for the Pro Bowl to be played in Miami the week before the Super Bowl. I have a feeling that a lot of people will be unexcited about this change of timing and venue, but it may make the Pro Bowl easier for many to attend...but the timing, it just seems odd.
  • For those of you planning ahead for the 2009 season, FFManiaxs has a quick list of defensive ends for 2009 divided into 9 tiers - they'll be adding linebackers and defensive backs this weekend - January 2009 IDPs Rankings: Defensive Ends.
  • Hatty Waiver Wire Guru offers up some keeper league thoughts for 2009 in his new video Off Season 1 - I think Hatty will be updating his keeper thoughts throughout the offseason. Good news for everyone.
All for now - I'll be back tomorrow with more links. And remember to sign up for the FFLibrarian's Challenge via NFL.com's postseason fantasy games. The winner will receive a $25 gift card courtesy of the Bruno Boys and the top 3 finishers will wind up with some FFLibrarian gear.

Labor Day FF links

Happy long weekend! Here's hoping most of you are free to enjoy the 3-day weekend and the relaxation and fun that comes with it. I spent my Sunday participating in 3 fantasy football drafts scattered throughout the day and night, but I think I've finally wrapped up my drafts for the year. So like many of you I'm now turning my attention to the Week 1 games! But before we get to some player rankings and prep for Week 1, I want to make sure that all you experts out there are aware of the upcoming deadline for the annual accuracy contest that I run with the Fantasy Sports Trade Association. I compare preseason positional rankings from experts to the final outcome of the fantasy season to see which site had the most accurate preseason rankings, and this year's deadline is fast approaching: September 9th by kickoff. Check out the info on the FSTA site for more details and be sure to e-mail me your submissions. Now, onto Week 1! First up, let's get to some of this

2010 Week 2 consensus start/sit

Greetings and happy weekend. I've got this week's consensus start/sit for you which is a tally of all the start/sit votes that players received in the various start/sit articles that I linked to earlier in the week. So while these aren't my personal recommendations, I do think knowing what the consensus is could be of help when making lineup decisions...so enjoy! QB Start: Michael Vick, Kyle Orton, Matt Ryan, Jason Campbell Sit: David Garrard, Alex Smith, Jay Cutler, Vince Young, Carson Palmer RB Start: LeSean McCoy, Darren McFadden, Ahmad Bradshaw, Brandon Jackson Sit: Tim Hightower, C.J. A hiatus

Update:  It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that yesterday, August 30th, I delivered our stillborn daughter, Caroline Mary. This has been an almost surreal and definitely heartbreaking experience and I appreciate the support in each and every one of your notes. Caroline will be honored and loved always. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your thoughts and prayers - they mean the world to our family. I have been a very poor blogger this month and feel I owe you all an explanation, particularly as this is crunch time for draft prep. I hope this is not too personal of a look into my life since I know most of you are just here for the football. I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant and we have learned that our baby (a little girl!) has triploidy, a chromosomal abnormality that means she has three copies of every chromosome instead of the normal two. The doctors have explained that it's a completely random occurrence and fairly rare that she has made it this far along, but tha
