Post-Super Bowl unwinding

Wow, what an experience. Go out and get yourselves some wings at Buffalo Wild Wings - they truly treated us like royalty this weekend and the game did not disappoint. While my husband and I were clutching our faces in dismay as the interception was returned for a touchdown, and everyone surrounding us seemed to be a Saints fan (50-year-old fan in front of us literally jumped up onto the seat in front of him and a woman nearby was crying she was so happy), it was still an event that I will never forget despite the unwanted outcome. And really, I can't be all that sad that the Saints won, just bummed that the Colts didn't if that makes sense.

Also just a note that I'll be starting a new job bright and early tomorrow morning so my schedule this week might be a little hectic as I figure out the best time to blog. But I'll be around blogging away in the offseason, no worries! Will be back with more soon...

The best part of following you during all this, I think, is that you were simply competing for bragging rights...and then once winning the trip became real, it was such a huge (and welcome!) surprise to you.

Sounds like that wonderful innocence come next year will be long gone, and the pressure will be on you to repeat! Although Miami is sure more fun than Big D!!

A hiatus

Update:  It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that yesterday, August 30th, I delivered our stillborn daughter, Caroline Mary. This has been an almost surreal and definitely heartbreaking experience and I appreciate the support in each and every one of your notes. Caroline will be honored and loved always. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your thoughts and prayers - they mean the world to our family. I have been a very poor blogger this month and feel I owe you all an explanation, particularly as this is crunch time for draft prep. I hope this is not too personal of a look into my life since I know most of you are just here for the football. I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant and we have learned that our baby (a little girl!) has triploidy, a chromosomal abnormality that means she has three copies of every chromosome instead of the normal two.
