Well it has been a great (albeit chilly) weekend here in Brooklyn - lots of time relaxing, the highlight being a brunch date with friends including our buddy Bart, a NY Post journalist who broke the Santonio Holmes news last weekend. Gotta love having friends in the biz. And this weekend's relaxation was particularly nice since I'll either be traveling or have visitors in town for 7 of the next 9 weekends...starting with a library conference in Boston during next weekend's NFL Draft. I know, I know, what am I doing focusing on anything other than football next weekend?! I'll be watching the Thursday prime time activity but will likely have to catch up on everything else via the ol' iPhone. Since this is how most sane people take in the draft (or do they just wait until the week after for a brief update?), I think it will be a refreshing approach to the weekend...yes, I'm desperately seeking the silver lining here.

- A couple of newsy tidbits if you haven't heard them yet - first up, Ted Ginn Jr is headed to the Niners now and I enjoyed Rotoworld's look at some pre-Ginn trade thoughts on Crabtree and Morgan in Josh Morgan: Blocker or wideout?
- RotoExperts has two RBs talking up their game for the 2010 season - Knowshon Moreno is promising to improve on a 2009 season that he found dissatisfying...meanwhile Cedric Benson is all about breaking the Bengals' single-season rushing record.
- Now some juicy number crunching...NFL.com has created their fantasy points allowed (FPA) ratings in Cooley, Witten have solid FPA ratings headed into next season, which looks at how each NFL team performed against the big fantasy positions last year and then develops a "fantasy-focused rating for every team in 2010" - I think this is really interesting but creating the overall ranking might be a bit ambitious of them. Personally I'm pretty taken with the already fascinating details of what each team's strengths and weaknesses were last year and how that translates now that we know every team's opponents for 2010. Creating a ranking out of it is unnecessary in my mind, but the content here remains insightful.

- The Bruno Boys are looking at the top 10 fantasy rookies for 2010 and projecting which teams might be the best fit for them - scope out the first part of the series (players ranked 10-6) for a nice look at player strengths and a taste of team needs.
- And finally, KFFL.com has updated their mock NFL draft, so be sure to give it a look-see if you're wondering where your favorite dudes might fall this weekend.
