Heading into unchartered territory

I'm hopping on a plane this afternoon and heading to Evanston, IL for my college reunion. My husband's college reunion is also coincidentally this weekend, so he's headed off to his reunion tomorrow morning and for the first time neither of us will spend the night with our son - instead he'll be in the capable hands of his grandparents for about 30 hours. My in-laws are fantastic, our son clearly knows and likes them, and they have years and years of caring for their own kids to lead them through this weekend...but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't anxious about it. Ultimately I'm confident our son will do just fine without us...the real question is probably how we will do without him!

Let's talk football now though - there are plenty of unknown quandaries in the fantasy world to tackle (like how on earth did I end up with John Beck on my roster?). Jump on it:

I'm so glad Matthew Berry twittered his guest star on The League (which I didn't even know existed). Incredibly funny show. It's DVR from here on out.

It would be great if other FF personalities made guest spots from time to time.. ahem, like a certain Librarian. :)

I'm not a big fan of Matthew Berry and his gang in The Pod Cast. They wait too much time. Get to the FF info and get done with it. I listen for the info they give but hate all the chitter chatter. They want you to vote for them as the best podcast but I would never. They waste too much time. I know that is different from The League but just thought I would give my opinion since Matthew Berry's name came up. I love the info from the Librarian. Some of the most valuable I read. Thanks lots, Librarian!!! Now if my players would quit getting hurt I might win my league.

Happy long weekend! Here's hoping most of you are free to enjoy the 3-day weekend and the relaxation and fun that comes with it. I spent my Sunday participating in 3 fantasy football drafts scattered throughout the day and night, but I think I've finally wrapped up my drafts for the year. A hiatus

Update:  It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that yesterday, August 30th, I delivered our stillborn daughter, Caroline Mary. This has been an almost surreal and definitely heartbreaking experience and I appreciate the support in each and every one of your notes. Caroline will be honored and loved always. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your thoughts and prayers - they mean the world to our family. I have been a very poor blogger this month and feel I owe you all an explanation, particularly as this is crunch time for draft prep. I hope this is not too personal of a look into my life since I know most of you are just here for the football. I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant and we have learned that our baby (a little girl!) has triploidy, a chromosomal abnormality that means she has three copies of every chromosome instead of the normal two.
