Update: It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that yesterday, August 30th, I delivered our stillborn daughter, Caroline Mary. This has been an almost surreal and definitely heartbreaking experience and I appreciate the support in each and every one of your notes. Caroline will be honored and loved always. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your thoughts and prayers - they mean the world to our family.
I have been a very poor blogger this month and feel I owe you all an explanation, particularly as this is crunch time for draft prep. I hope this is not too personal of a look into my life since I know most of you are just here for the football. I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant and we have learned that our baby (a little girl!) has triploidy, a chromosomal abnormality that means she has three copies of every chromosome instead of the normal two. The doctors have explained that it's a completely random occurrence and fairly rare that she has made it this far along, but that ultimately she has a condition that is incompatible with life. My husband and I are blessed with an amazing almost-2-year-old son, as I'm sure you know if you've been around the blog long enough, and this situation has just completely blindsided us.
The next few weeks are going to be extremely complex and emotional for me and while I would like nothing more than to stay entertained by posting on the blog and enjoying all the awesomeness of fantasy football, I can't muster up the energy to do so these days. I am deeply sorry for this since I honestly enjoy being able to get you guys linked out to resources. Be patient with me. I will be back and posting again this fall, I just don't know when. Hopefully I'll be back around the first week or two of the season but until then, there are so many tremendous resources out there, many of which you'll find over under Fantasy Football Content on the right. Don't forget to stay tuned to the news via sites like Footballguys, Rotoworld, or Draft Sharks. And I always endorse checking out FantasyPros.com for consensus rankings and such.
I am still running my annual accuracy competition, which was announced by the FSTA today. If you would like to submit your rankings for inclusion, please see the template and info on the FSTA website and e-mail them in to us by September 5. I encourage rankings to come at the last minute to account for all preseason news/injuries.
If it's not asking too much, please send positive thoughts and prayers for my family. I am sure many of you have been in similar shoes or just know the pain of losing a loved one.
So here's to the start of the season: may you draft well, start/bench wisely, and reign as the kings/queens of your leagues!

I will keep your family in my prayers during this time. From the success of your FF Blog, I am confident you have support to continue your journey with a number of Family members, Friends and your Fantasy Football Fans! Peace
All the best,
Michael
I don't know if you are on facebook, but a friend of mine started a little group after she lost her twins shortly after their birth. It's just a small group of women who have all experienced the loss of a child. Our loss was several years ago but it has been really nice to be part of this little community. You would be more than welcome to join us at some point if you feel like it might be nice to have some extra support now or down the road.
in the mean time, make sure to catch a game or two when you can!
Blessings,
Andy
Your family will be in my prayers. Thanks for all you do for the fantasy football community. The Lord bless you and keep you.
My two children (now 6 and 9) were both born with congenital heart defects and required open heart surgery (one at 7 weeks the other at 7 months). Nothing (and I mean NOTHING) is harder than facing a critical illness with your children. Be strong. Be brave. Be patient. Be loving. You will get through it.
As everyone on here as said, your help and insight has helped us all out so many times. Thank you for that.
You WILL get through this! You are so thoughtful to all of us. I am saddened that this happened to such a wonderful and caring person.
If you need anything please let me know.
Take the time with family Sarah.
This site is, after all, about a game. We will await your return
whenever that may be.
God bless.
Be positive, be strong, but, also, feel as you need to feel to process what is happening to move forward. Things will get better ... they always do.
Best,
Sara

I know this probably will not help but I do want to let you know that I love your blog and feel it has helped me so much in the fantasy leagues I compete in. I am quite certain your site is a big factor as to why I am usually a contender each year and actually have been fortunate enough to win a couple of them.
My best wishes go out to you and your family.

Thank you for all your emails over the last couple of years. Great information. Take care and know that people are thinking about you, your husband, and your family!
I just wanted to let you know that I'm praying for you, your family and unborn baby.

We appreciate the suggestion that we just come to your blog for the fantasy football, but regular readers have come to appreciate the personal aspects that come with the reference resources: stories of NYC, Colorado and Tennessee weather, people, jobs and family. You, Sara, make this site more than just crunched numbers and hyperlinks.
Your regular readers wish you and your family strength in this trying time, and urge you to get back to numbers, hyperlinks, and stories as soon as you're ready.
I understand your absence but look forward to your return.
Thank you for all of your hard work on your web site.
My boyfriend shared your site with me and at first I was envious of the incredible knowledge you have about football, but I have come to enjoy and look forward to your site as much as he does!
We are both so very Sorry for Your Family's Loss. We are sending You and Your Family all of our Love and Prayers.
Please take time to heal and spend time surrounded by Your Family.

My wife and I send your family our deepest condolences. You are in our prayers.
