When we lived in Brooklyn we spent a year living on the 36th floor of our apartment building and I've spent much time over the course of Sandy wondering about what our circumstances would have been were we still living there. There are some crazy photos out there from our old neighborhood and the area near our son's old daycare - insanity. I know my family is still stuck without power in the DC area and likely many of you are in a similar situation. Safe, warm, and dry thoughts to all of you affected by the storm. Amidst the chaos of the storm, my family has something beautiful to celebrate: my brother-in-law and sister-in-law welcomed their second daughter into the world early this morning.
