Streaming Defenses - Week 12

Friends, I've been way behind in my posting. If I can get my act together and post some start/sit links over the holiday weekend, I certainly will. Remember you can always scope out Fantasy Rundown for links as needed! Happy Thanksgiving all!
Streaming into the playoffs. I hope your streaming has helped you out so far. Lately the streamers have been a big help, and last week is testimony. The Giants and Dolphins are up as defenses. And can you believe that the Saints came through as predicted? I warned you about Philly, but didn’t see the Chiefs laying an egg. Overall there was only one highly owned that outperformed two of our streams.

No byes this week, so we have a bunch of options. Although be careful on a few of the highly owned. I only like four of them this week, with better options at streaming Defs after that. BAL should be more highly owned, and I blame the bye week for having the Chargers still available, but now’s your chance. All but one of our favorite targets are playing streamers this week, so take advantage. Also, I’m giving you six stream options this week, with a couple having some good upside. So you may want to roll the dice this week if they’re available.

Seahawks are surging and TB is a borderline target, start the Seahawks with confidence. Good upside.

Broncos are giving up an avg of 11 pts/game over the last 7 games. That puts them in the target range, and KCC is getting better and better. Great start even on the road.

Cards Def has dropped off as of late, and ATL is 5th stingiest giving up Def pts. I don't like this start, expect low returns if you start.

You gotta start the Broncos, but temper expectations against a stingy KC team.

DET loves Thanksgiving, but MIN showed their Def was back last week. Look for slightly lower expectations due to Turkey Day, but still start.

Good defense against the top target, this is a must start.

What's going on in GB. Packers are giving up an avg of 10 pts/game over last six against so-so Defs. Expect a good day for PHI at home.

Saints are giving over 10 pts/game to top ten Defs. RAMS are 13th ranked DEF, start 'em but temper since they're on the road.

The Browns are collapsing into great target oblivion, just as the Giants have found their pass rush. Best stream of the week.

CIN will give up points to good defs and the Ravens are really tough. With A.J. and Gio out, this gets even better for the Ravens at home. 2nd best stream.

BUF Def has faltered as of late, but the Jags are still a good target. Bills at home, maybe in snow, I like this as the 3rd best stream.

Well, I picked the Saints last week and they came through, let's give them another shot at the 2nd best target, 4th best stream.

Dolphins are now 11th best Def and SF is still a great target, expect good returns as the 5th best stream with upside

HOU is now a borderline target and the Chargers keep improving on Def, I like the Chargers as the 6th best stream, with some upside.

Labor Day FF links

Happy long weekend! Here's hoping most of you are free to enjoy the 3-day weekend and the relaxation and fun that comes with it. I spent my Sunday participating in 3 fantasy football drafts scattered throughout the day and night, but I think I've finally wrapped up my drafts for the year. So like many of you I'm now turning my attention to the Week 1 games! But before we get to some player rankings and prep for Week 1, I want to make sure that all you experts out there are aware of the upcoming deadline for the annual accuracy contest that I run with the Fantasy Sports Trade Association. I compare preseason positional rankings from experts to the final outcome of the fantasy season to see which site had the most accurate preseason rankings, and this year's deadline is fast approaching: September 9th by kickoff. Check out the info on the FSTA site for more details and be sure to e-mail me your submissions. Now, onto Week 1! First up, let's get to some of this

2010 Week 2 consensus start/sit

Greetings and happy weekend. I've got this week's consensus start/sit for you which is a tally of all the start/sit votes that players received in the various start/sit articles that I linked to earlier in the week. So while these aren't my personal recommendations, I do think knowing what the consensus is could be of help when making lineup decisions...so enjoy! Note: the players are listed in no particular order. QB Start: Michael Vick, Kyle Orton, Matt Ryan, Jason Campbell Sit: David Garrard, Alex Smith, Jay Cutler, Vince Young, Carson Palmer RB Start: LeSean McCoy, Darren McFadden, Ahmad Bradshaw, Brandon Jackson Sit: Tim Hightower, C.J. A hiatus

Update:  It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all that yesterday, August 30th, I delivered our stillborn daughter, Caroline Mary. This has been an almost surreal and definitely heartbreaking experience and I appreciate the support in each and every one of your notes. Caroline will be honored and loved always. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your thoughts and prayers - they mean the world to our family. I have been a very poor blogger this month and feel I owe you all an explanation, particularly as this is crunch time for draft prep. I hope this is not too personal of a look into my life since I know most of you are just here for the football. I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant and we have learned that our baby (a little girl!) has triploidy, a chromosomal abnormality that means she has three copies of every chromosome instead of the normal two. The doctors have explained that it's a completely random occurrence and fairly rare that she has made it this far along, but tha
